Projects
I've been given the opportunity to experience a vast majority of creative styles and mediums; everything from printing to industrial design to production. Below you'll see a few of these examples, along with a short description of each project. Enjoy!
As part of a Northern California graphics roll-out, I created and applied all vinyl fruits, blenders, and text in-store during business hours. These graphics can still be seen in many Bay Area stores today.
Created from a solid piece of MDF wood, I printed, laminated and applied interchangeable graphics templates. I also prepped and applied 6-piece vinyl logos to 3" metal plates to be applied at the base of the blender.
As part of the Grand Opening for The 88 - Oakland, our company was hired to create and install large format graphics in the leasing office. I prepped a 4' x 8' acrylic substrate, polished the edges, then printed, laminated, and sub-mounted a full-bleed print. The whole piece was then stand-off mounted 3" from the wall.
For this project, I was responsible for polishing rough-cut acrylic, printing, laminating and mounting graphics, and cleaning the edges for hand-off to the Slingbox CEO. Upwards of 500 customized packages were made and delivered.
Like many other Slingbox projects, the client asked for an interactive display with our sub-mounted graphics on acrylic. I was responsible for making this happen and delivering above-expectation results quickly.
This display was created with lightweight portability in mind, as it would be traveling from tradeshow to tradeshow. We deployed a 3mm PVC sheet reinforced with laminated graphics. This delivered on the promise for easy and lightweight transport, as the client requested.
Designed as a stand-alone display in-store, all four sides needed to be considered when creating and displaying graphics. To ensure alignment and stability, mock-ups were made in-house then approved by our CEO. All graphics were printed and applied with high-pressure rollers and utilized clips to allow for interchangeability.
To be deployed specifically in Fry's stores state-wide, 100-plus displays were made with many elements. Those which I had a direct impact in creating were the vinyl cut-outs and application of the head piece, and printing and application of adhesive graphics onto interchangeable placards.
The goal of this logo was to be able to recognize at a glance where the San Francisco Volleyball Association was founded, relate it to both males and females, and, of course, to highlight volleyball. By focusing on these elements, I was able to create an iconic logo that maintains the look and feel of the SFVA's mission.
While at Walmart.com, I had the privilege of working on an initiative that was created to empower women around the world to better the lives of themselves and their families by supporting their hand-made efforts. This initiative is the first of its kind supported by a Fortune 500 company and was a huge success for women Walmart.com partnered with.
Chosen from within the Marketing/Creative team, I was tasked to design an infographic that easily illustrated a new process for photography and retouching requests in-house. My design was the first infographic to be used at the company and has become the standard for future implementation.
